The Progress Tour China presents The Team Champs - a new mixed player team event with an integrative format, that crosses the boundaries between junior and professional tennis. Four player teams, consisting of two male and two female players across three age groups - 12U, 16U and Elite Open will compete in singles, doubles and mixed ties against opposing teams. In its pilot year, 4 teams in each category will compete to be crowned Champions. With all players being guaranteed two action packed, interactive days of tennis and some great prize money and player opportunities, it looks set to be a great few days of tennis.

 

In the elite open category, ATP & WTA ranked players battle it out for a share of the £15,000 prize pot, whilst in the 12U and 16U category, teams will compete for over £9,000 in player support packages and experiences. Our professional players have the opportunity to pass on their experience and wisdom the next-gen of players as they take on a captaincy role with a designated junior team, helping with team selections, sitting court-side to mentor and support their team through matches. As the day progresses, it's the pro's turn to hit the courts, as they compete in the same format as their team cheer them on court side.

The event offers a unique opportunity for our up and coming top junior players to brush shoulders with a crop of British professionals and Wimbledon players, learning from the experience of those that gone before and getting a chance to watch their mentors battle it out on court at an intimate level.
